Fair and Efficient Resource Allocation Scheme in Multi-cell OFDMA System

In multi-cell OFDMA systems, one of the major issues to research is how to maximize the performance by controlling the co-channel interference from the neighboring cells. In this paper,a completely distributed subcarrier allocation algorithm is presented by adopting the game theoretic concepts of coalition formation and Nash bargaining solutions, where wireless users randomly form cooperative two- user coalitions and bargain with each other for their own benifits. The presented algorithm exhibits low complexity and provides a fair solution. Moreover, the Pareto optimality is also proved. Simulation results demonstrate that the presented algorithm offers a good and fair performance.
