A Quantitative Contrastive Study of Conjunction in Chinese and English Texts

As a cohesive device between sentences,conjunction exists in both English and Chinese.Among the conjunctive ways,adversative is more frequently used than the other three in the two languages and their translations.Differences do exist in both languages when adopting the conjunctive devices,though very slight.
