Uncertainty theory and its axiomatic foundations

The general framework of uncertainty theory consists of probability theory, credibility theory and trust theory. It also includes fuzzy random theory, random fuzzy theory, random rough theory, rough random theory, fuzzy rough theory, rough fuzzy theory, birandom theory, bifuzzy theory and birough theory. This article provides a comprehensive survey of uncertainty theory and its axiomatic foundations. Up-to-date developments in uncertinty theory are reported. Some challenges to uncertinty theory are indicated for further research topics. An extensive bibliography is also included.
