Correlation Analysis of Reading Comprehension in CET4 Based on Corpus

Based on RANGE32 of the corpus,this paper statistically analyzes the correlations between the score of reading comprehension in CET4 and the difficulty degree of vocabulary in the passages.The results show that there exists no correlation between the two variables.Instead,the reading comprehension score shows a significant correlation with the questions and their multiple choices following the passage,which is caused by the nature of discrete points tests,on which the CET4 is mainly based.
