Taking surrounding rock project in Shipailing tunnel for an example,6 main influencing factors are selected as the evaluation indices and the rock mass quality is divided into five grades on the basis of current research status. The entropy method that is improved with Z-scores standard is applied to calculate weights so as to ensure the objectivity and accuracy of the evaluation.By constructing attribute decision matrix of the rock mass quality evaluation, the characteristics of grade is used to determine the attribute level. And then the stability of surrounding rock in tunnel is evaluated. The model can not only predict the grade of the rock mass, but also sort the strength of stability at the same grade.Compared with the extenics theory, the results verify the rationality and superiority of the method, which provides a new way for stability evaluation of surrounding rock in tunnel.
