Fractal dimension is an important parameter of fractal theory,in which box dimension can describe the geometry scale information of fractal signal and information dimension can describe the distribution information of fractal signal in plane space. So using fractal theory box dimension and information dimension can be extracted from signal as the classification feature. The fractal feature includes the transformation rules of amplitude, frequency and phase, and concentrates the difference information between the difference modulation modes. The fractal dimension computation of some ordinary intra-pulse modulation radar emitter signal indicates that fractal dimension is effective feature in the sense of classification, and the simulation experiment of classification recognition verifies that classification based on fractal dimension has high recognition rate.
