Steiner centre as sink node position for mobile wireless sensor network

Liang Jiu-zhe · Journal of Northwest University · 2015

Most of sink node placement strategies can hardly apply to mobile sensor network. This paper presents a Steiner Centre as Sink Node position( SCSN) model that applies a Structure-Aware self-adaptive algorithm to maintain the sink on Steiner in real time and dynamically. Boundary design decreases computing complexity of nodes from Ο( n) down to Ο(n). It also has advantages of dynamic self-adaptation,low complexity, robustness, low latency, etc. Finally, the Steiner is compared with other centers as periodic updates sink node's offset, results show that the Steiner has characteristics of high stability and low eccentric.
