Research of Embedded GIS Water Pipe Data Update Pattern and Implementation

The up-to-date state is the key factor that evaluates the utilization value of GIS database,which becomes the focus in the application field of GIS at both home and abroad nowadays.In this paper,we introduction the most prevail way of database update,then analyze the characteristic of water utility and the disadvantage of current method of data update.At last,we put forward a new method for data update which based on the embedded GIS,and then we validate the way based on the MapGIS-EMS.We believe that it can update water utility data usefully.
