Wavelet Transform and its New Applications in Chromatography

Basic theories and applications of wavelet transform(WT) were described in this paper.As WT is a high performance signal processing technique,it has been applied to baseline correction,smoothing and denoising,data compression,resolution of overlapping signal and the profile of medicinal herbs in chromatography.Finally,by analyzing some of the existent faultliness of the research on the application of wavelet transform,the future research and solutions are discussed.
