Primary Synchronization Channel Design for the Evolved Next Generation Mobile Communication Systems

An optimum primary-synchronization channel(P-SCH) design is presented for the evolved next generation mobile communication systems in heterogeneous network scenario where adequate cell IDs are needed to avoid the cell ID confusion and inter-cell interference. The proposed P-SCH assumes a hierarchical structure, and the sequences are modified Bjrck CAZAC sequences.Simulation results demonstrate that the new sequences with lower Peak Average Power Ratio(PAPR) have good correlation properties and cell search performance compared with IEEE 802.16m system.
