Visible and infrared image registration algorithm based on feature points

The paper presents a visible and infrared image registration algorithm based on the feature points.Firstly,we extract the points from the edges of both images.Then,we use a criterion combined the shape,grayscale and gradient angles to determine the corresponding points in two images.Finally,we calculate the magnification,rotation and translation coordinates according to the three pairs of points.The algorithm is proven by experiments.
