A Mind Map-based Discourse Analysis Approach to English Reading Teaching

The mind map-based discourse analysis approach adapts to human natural thinking model,which,in English reading teaching,plays a facilitative role in introducing cultural information,analyzing text construction and promoting innovative interpretation.This paper aims to first offer a brief account of the definition,psychological foundation and methods of mind map making,followed by a detailed discussion of the application of mind map-based discourse analysis approach in English reading teaching. Finally three tips are given for consideration while carrying out this teaching approach.
