In recent years.Wireless ATM(WATM) as a kind of wireless extension of ATM network has attracted extensive interest of academic and industrial circles.This paper presents the structure of WATM system,and discusses the detail of the protocol model of WATM.The fault tolerance method for WATM is also discussed.
