Analysis of Internet High Speed Link Traffic

The analysis of Internet traffic is the foundation of many researches.This paper analyzes a trace of OC192 link gathered by NLANR,and the analysis tells us that high speed link traffic manifests high bursty.It also proves that the former conclusions on the distribution of packet interval time and the relationship between packet size and packet interval time are still right,but simply Long-Range-Dependence model and a single H parameter can not precisely describe the complicated scaling behavior of Internet traffic at present.
