Image retrieval based on local accumulation histogram and texture characterteristic

A new retrieval algorithm based on local accumulation histogram in HSI color space and texture characteristic was proposed. Local accumulation histogram in HSI color space describes color information, which corresponds with human eye s vision model. Texture feature describes local spacial information. This algorithm combined the two characteristics together to avoid the unilateralism of the image description. The experiments results on flower database show the good performance IN image retrieval.
