A Method of Fault Diagnosis for Equipment Based on Rough Set Theory

Rough set theory is a new mathematical tool to deal with vagueness and uncertainty.Based on that theory,this paper deals with the attribute reduction for the fault diagnosis decision-making table of the vibration equipment.The important attributes of fault identification were extracted so as to decrease the redundancy of a decision-making table.The analysis shows that more clear and concise diagnostic rules could be acquired by using rough set theory.
