Study of eGOMS Model for Pen-based User Interface

New interaction model is needed for the design of Pen-based User Interface. User Model based on cognitive psychology is the base of interface design. The purpose of user interface is to provide a natural, high efficient interactive tool so as to decrease the cognitive distance between user and computer. The Human Computer Interaction model should be based on human’s cognitive ability. The mechanism and characteristics human perception and cognition, attention and the process of information processing were studied, and an eGOMS model for Pen-based User Interface was proposed.
