XML-based Structure Definition of General Books

An XML-based Makeup language GBML is put forward in this paper in order to define the digital contents of general books. After a detailed anlaysis of the structure of general books, the document type definition (DTD) of GBML is presented. At last, the applications of GBML are discussed briefly.
