On the Protection of the Copyright of Multimedia Works

As a brand new form of mass media, the emergence of multimedia has caused a good many new problems to the ongoing system of copyright. As a product of the development of the new science and technology, the content of multimedia works is made up of sounds, pictures, words, cartoons, figures and so on. Though these types of copyright are protected by the copyright law, yet whether the works of multimedia, as the integrative carrier of them, should be protected by law is a question.
