An Improved Multi-versioning Technique in the Cooperative Graphics Editing Systems

The multi-versioning technique based on version replication strategy using fully-replicated structure to preserve the uses' intention when the conflict operations occur in the cooperative graphics editing system.Every version stores all the operations executed on it in the editing progress.Then there exits the problem that a same operation may be stored many times and the storage of operations in the system will become very larger when the editing progress goes on.This paper based on the conflict operation set,proposes an improved multi-versioning technique.The theory certification and simulation experiment results shows that performance of the new strategy can resolve above problem more efficiently.
