Research on low-duty-cycle MAC protocol of wireless sensor networks

It will significantly reduce energy consumption of communication and prolong networks lifetime to choose appropriate communication protocol.By the periodic listen and sleep,Low-duty-cycle MAC protocal effectively reduces the energy waste due to idle listening.The characteristic of energy waste,network delay and throughput of the low-duty-cycle MAC protocal is explored;the relations of characteristics and the effect of the periodic listen and sleep on characteristics are analyzed.Finally,the advisement for betterment is proposed.
