The Empty Category of PRO commonly exists in English and Chinese..The distribution rules of PRO in English and Chinese are analysed from the perspective of OT in this thesis which not only can find out the common features of the language in a deep structure,but also can provide us a new perspective on the explanation of the Chinese Grammar.
