Research of GPS data compression processing based on VC

In order to solve the problem of the location data memory too large to save and limited transmission bandwidth in GPS application system,proposing a GPS data processing algorithms based on VC++.The algorithm makes further compression on the basis of the GPS data preprocessing,and the compression ratio can reach 80%.In this paper first we introduce the GPS data format which obeys the NMEA0183 protocol,then we detail GPS data processing with a instance.
