TCP Congestion Control Research Focusing on the End Node

A TCP congestion control algorithm which is a critical factor of Internet robustness,is being improved continually with the development of network technology. In this paper,a review of TCP congestion control mechanisms. Evolution is given, a strong emphasis is laid on the analysis of several classical algorithms and the comparison of their advantages and disadvantages, then several underlying problems in the existing TCP congestion control mechanisms are discussed, finally, the prospect is made on the future research of congestion control algorithms.
