A Semantic Analysis of the Novel Network Pattern“bei”and Its Application

The syntactic status of bei in novel structures bei is different from that in traditional patterns. As a high-predicate, bei plays a special semantic role in the structure bei plus event , which is to stress the passive status of the NP, or to imply the falsity of the event . Because of the great influence of Internet, the structures bei are spreading widely and going beyond its original syntactic and semantic limits.
