Coast Zone Management Information System Based on the GIS

This paper presents the design and structure of the Coast Zone Management Information System which stores data in the SQL Server 2000 database and manipulate the data by using the ArcSDE and DAO technologies. The Coast Zone Management Information System is used to analyze and visualize the water quality and modal data of the Zhujiang River, which is realized by the second development based on the Visual Basic development environment, ArcObjects components and the SPSS.
