Thinking in Services Architecture for NGI

On the basis of the convergence of Internet and telecom networks, the services evolution and features of NGI services are analyzed in order to realize which services are highly abstracted by means of three fundamental techniques: layered architecture, distributed computing and open interfaces. Finally, based on these three techniques an alternative solution for NGI services is set forward whose feasibility is illustrated by messaging service discussed subsequently.
