Design and Implementation of Lossy Compression Proposal based Weather Radar Raw Data

In this article,it present a lossy compression proposal for compressing raw data produced by Doppler Weather Radar.The proposal can get a compression ratio from 30:1 to 100:1,assuring no noticeable difference among the images view of the compression and decompression raw data.Taking advantage of this technique,it hugely reduce the network-flow,and effectively share the Radar raw data among distributed location in real time.
