Study on Image Stitching Methods and Its Key Technologies

Image stitching is one of important technologies for image processing.It is normally used to make up a seamless and high resolution image with a set of partial images in the fields of microscopic inspection,digital video,motion analysis,medical image processing,virtual reality and remote sensing mapping.In this paper,the content and the difficulty of image stitching are reviewed and some typical algorithms are introduced.And according to the results of relative experiments,the advantage and limitations of these algorithms are discussed.
