Preliminary Study on Parallel CMAQ Based Linux Cluster

Facing to the problems of computation and I/O intensive,resulted from the massive volume of geo-spatial data,complexity of processing algorithms or models,and the time-critical demand in CMAQ applications,the challenge that arises is how to make CMAQ present high performance capability in those applications. We adopt CMAQ as object,and put forward the conception of cluster-based parallel CMAQ. The related theory not only includes its parallelism computing mode,architecture and software framework,but also comprises varies parallelization patterns. From the test in the primary system,it can be concluded that the parallel system has better efficiency than conventional system.
