Algorithm of elliptic curve cryptography and hardware implementation with FPGA

The principle of elliptic curve cryptography(ECC) is described,which is based on the arithmetic using elliptic curves,and a comparison is made between ECC and the Rivest-Shamir-Adelman(RSA) system,which is popular in China,to show the advantages of ECC.A prototype of the processor has been implemented on an FPGA.The future development of ECC is also discussed.
