Design and Implementation of Video Surveillance System Based on ARM and DSP

Based on the analysis of their respective advantages of DSP and embedded system,the paper introduces a project of embedded video surveillance system,in which ARM and DSP communicate with each other through the HPI interface.It presents the hardware module design and the software development.Clear image has displayed on the monitor and compression ratio has been up to 72.6.It proves that this system works well,which has great values to the improvement of video surveillance system in the market.
