A CASCADE FILTER METHOD COMBINING PARTIAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATION AND ENHANCED LEE FILTER FOR SAR IMAGE SPECKLE REDUCTION

A cascade filter method combining partial differential equation(PDE) and Enhanced Lee filter for SAR image speckle reduction is proposed.The edge detection characteristic of the PDE and the sub-regional treatment strategy of the Enhanced Lee filter are exploited in this method to reduce speckle and keep important features simultaneously.The experiments show that the method can reach better results than the classical algorithms.
