Performance Analysis of Hybrid Channel Allocation Technology Based on QBD Model

Hybrid Channel Allocation(HCA) which is a compromise has the virtue of Fixed Channel Allocation(FCA) and Dynamic Channel Allocation(DCA).In order to improve the efficiency of channel utilization,this article constructs models of the three channel allocation strategies based on Quasi Birth and Death process(QBD) during which we select the hybrid priority handoff reservation algorithm.We derive the mathematical expressions of key performance indicators,such as Call Blocking Probability.Simulation and comparisons of the performance among FCA,DCA and HCA are given.The results show that HCA has a little worse performance than DCA,but much better than FCA.
