Orthoimage Mosaicking Based on Voronoi Diagram with Valid Area

UAV images have a large degree of overlap( 60% ~ 80%), so a lot of data redundancy will usually be produced while mosaicking on the corrected orthoimage. Meanwhile, the closer of the image to the edge, the error is the greater, which will affect the precision of mosaicking. A method of automatic generation of seamline is presented based on Voronoi diagram with valid area, which creates an seamline network based on the whole image and optimizes the seamline on account of valid area, in order to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of image mosaicking. Experimental results show that the method is feasible.
