Design of shareable e-Learning platform based on data grid technology

e-Learning has become one of the most popular teaching methods.SCORM(shareable course object model),the most popular e-Learning standard,is adapted from many different e-Learning platforms.Normally,courseware meeting SCORM standards is shareable with other e-Learning platforms.However,most e-Learning platforms are unable to share courseware directly on the Internet. In order to solve this problem,one type of Grid computing technology called“Data Grid”is employed and a shareable e-Learning platform is designed,allowing the integration of different SCORM platforms into a huge and distributed e-Learning environment.
