Research on Major Concentrated Frequency Band of Tool-wear Characteristic Sound Spectrum

The cutting sound signal in audible range includes a plenty of tool-wear information.Finding out the major concentrated frequency band of tool-wear information can enhance SNR(Signal Noise Ratio) and improve tool-wear degree recognition result.Based on abstracting the valid characteristic of tool-wear information in audible range,having built the recognition model and marking tool-wear grade,carried out recognition experiments in different frequency bands.The analyzed experimental result shows that the major tool-wear information concentrated in low frequency band.
