Research of Web Services-based Heterogeneous Databases Integration

This paper introduces Web Services architecture and its superiority at the beginning,and then introduces and compares two solutions of heterogeneous databases integration: Multidatabase solution and Federated solution.Based on the practical need,it proposes a solution of heterogeneous databases integration,in which multidatabase and federated database are both used.The multidatabase is used in the region while federated database is used between regions in the solution and it adopts Web Services as distributed compute technique.
