Preliminary Study on the Application of Cloud Computig in Education

Cloud computing is regarded as the third IT revolution. It is the development of distributed processing, parallel computing and grid computing. It is the trend of development of the next generation Internet. It has a positive affect on education field because of its low cost, mass memory and super calculation. This paper introduces cloud computing and its characteristics and services in brief, and analyzes the application of cloud computing in education and the architecture of education cloud platform in detail.
