Application of Beidou Navigation System in Hydrology Monitoring System

Hydrology Monitoring System is of great significance to the commanding of disaster prevention and keeping the damage to a minimum.In this paper,the characteristics of information transmission in Beidou satellite system are analyzed,and a Hydrology Monitoring System and its data transmission protocols are designed.LZ78 data compression method is adopted for saving transmission fee and decreasing running cost.Beidou is fit for Hydrology Monitoring System in remote areas and may be used as information transmission backup.
