A Digital Watermarking Technique for Color Images Based on DWT and HVS

This paper presents a technique by embedding a color digital watermark into an original color image. Through inserting watermarks time after time into different frequency bands after DWT to enhance robustness. At the same time, the method utilizes the HVS peculiarity, obtains corresponding R、G、B strengthen coefficients from several experiments, in order to reduce the visual distortion in the result image. The method has been tested with attacks such as JPEG lossy compression, cropping, polluting and noise adding, obtaining results of good robustness and low visual distortion.
