In Chinese information processing,due to its stable structure,integrate meaning and statistical significance,phrase is seen as a better feature of text representation than word or character.The theoretical justifications of phrase advantage are summarized from perspectives like linguistics,cognitive psychology and computational linguistics,and are finally verified by text categorization.
