The Similarity Measure and Case Expression in Process Planning

It presents a model of object-oriented case representation, indexing and retrieving in process planning system for all kinds of parts using case - based reasoning. A method to measure the similarity of parts is introduced with the object-oriented representation of parts types and parts features. An effective similarity metric is developed to measure the similarity of different features or different type of parts. And the most similar case can be retrieved rapidly and correctly.
