Study on Energy-heterogeneous Clustering Algorithm in Wireless Sensor Network

Based on the analysis of LEACH and SEP,a new modification algorithm is proposed aiming at their disadvantage in the energy-heterogeneous environment of wireles s sensor network.The nodes which have more residual energy and smaller distance to the base-station are more probably selected as clust er head.Meanwhile,an energy threshold is set for cluster head to avoid that th e nodes which have too low energy are selected as cluster head.The simulated re sults demonstrate that the improved algorithm better balance the energy consumpt ion,effectively improve the energy utilization efficiency,and greatly prolong the normal working life-cycle of the entire network.
