An Optimized Application Layer Multicast Protocol Based on Multi-Rings
Xu Qiang · Microcomputer Information · 2009
The paper presents PBHV(Priority-Based Hierachical VRing)protocol,a new scalable application multicast protocol that establishes a multi-rings topology which sets all the rings into two levels. And in order to reduce the delay between each member in the multicast group, the virtual ring technology is introduced in this paper which is used in every ring by means of the establishing of spare links. At the same time, the joint_nodes are selected through the principle of dynamic programming method based on priority.Simulation results show that the new model can improve the performance in Path Stretch,Data Delivery Ratio and Link Stress.
