FPGA design of a high-efficiency flexible digital up converter
Xinsheng Zhang · 2010
Digital up converter(DUC) is one of the key components in software defined radio(SDR).Its main function is to increase the sampling rate of the baseband signal and shift it to carrier frequency. The paper designs a reliable DUC with the architecture of cascading CIC filter and(compensation FIR) CFIR filter, and programmable numerically control oscillator based on Altera FPGA EP2SGX90.The DUC designed in the paper has the following features:low power consumption, high computation resolution, programmable NCO and up to 100dB spur-free dynamic range(SFDR).
