Performance Improvement of CIC Filter in Mobile TV Repeater

The structure of Cascaded Integrator Comb (CIC) filter is discussed. CIC filter can efficiently perform the task of both decimating and filtering. But CIC filter also has disadvantages,such as serious droop in the passband and insufficient attennuation in the folding band. Rotated Sinc (RS) correcting method and Kaiser-Hamming compensating method are jointly applied to the improvement of CIC filter,and the disadvantages of CIC filter can be effectively remedied. An optimization model is built under the criterion of minimal aliasing power leading to an optimal solution scheme,which can be a reference to the designers of digital filters in the field of mobile TV.
