Research on Building of Semantic-Oriented Command and Control Domain ontology

Joint operations have a higher requirements on information sharing within command and control systems which demand command and control systems exchange information on a high level interoperability.In order to achieve such a level of interoperability,not only information has to be exchanged,but also the meaning behind it.its semantics.Development of ontology technologies take a new way for resolving this problem.In this paper,at hand explain the term domain ontology,then give a survey on three typical methods for c2 domain ontology building,analyzes and compares the methods respectively;Finally,this article summarizes the problems unsolved in the research through analyzing these methods and recommends the research direction in the future.
