Algorithm research of image retrieval based on texture

Multimedia is an important indication of high development in IT era.The effective management of massive information in multimedia has become an important research area.Retrieval of mass image database has been recently one of hot issue in multimedia technology.CBIR research is one of important research orientations.The result of the traditional calculation of image retrieval based on the most optimal texture roughness fit comparatively into the sight perception,however,has some fault.The paper will improve the calculation method in selection of field size and mean value and deviation value,selects field size in a linear and quantitive way,and calculates the fields mean value and deviation value in order that identifying ability of toughness depending on the calculation method is improved and better rotation stability of texture toughness calculation method is assured.By analyzing data of result,the improved calculation method is found to be clearly superior to the original one in the ability to identify and rotation stability.
