Approach to transform UML model to SDL model

An approach to transform UML model is introduced to SDL model.UML is an excellent model language.It could take many conveniences for modeling the protocol.However,UML does not have a formal semantics,so it could not fulfill the needs of the protocol in precise.SDL is a standard language for telecommunications software specification.It has a formal semantics,and is supported by many commercial tools.It could overcome this disadvantage to transform UML model to SDL model in the design and development of protocol.The model could be transformed when a suitable profile for UML and exacting transformation rules have been defined.
